The Opportunity:

The Department of Physics and Astronomy, College of Arts and Sciences, and the Department of Aerospace Engineering, College of Engineering, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University-Prescott, invite applications for a joint full-time tenure-track assistant professor position to begin in August 2024.

The ideal candidate would have a PhD in Physics and a background in applications of physics in aerospace engineering. Preference will be given to those with research and teaching interests in the field of optics, as well as those who have experience teaching at the undergraduate level. A commitment to sustainable research involving undergraduate students is required, as is commitment to service to the Department, College, and University. Teaching load will be divided equally between the Department of Aerospace Engineering and Department of Physics and Astronomy. Tenure home will be in the department of Physics and Astronomy.
