As a Sexual Offenders Assessment Board Investigator, you will be responsible for conducting pre-sentencing and pre-parole investigations of persons convicted of sexually violent offenses for the SOAB. Duties include, but are not limited to, conducting personal and criminal background investigations of convicted sex offenders and preparing investigation reports for SOAB members to use in conducting Sexually Violent Predator assessments for the courts and risk assessments for the Pennsylvania Parole Board; and face-to-face forensic interviews with convicted sex offenders and collateral interviews with employers, family members and friends, and a wide variety of criminal justice and social service practitioners, including institutional personnel, police officers, district attorneys, county court staff, state parole agents, county probation officers, and children and youth workers to obtain information for the preparation of comprehensive investigation reports.
