JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Provide software solutions to facilitate the design and deployment of control equipment that will enable the organization to achieve global leadership in the field of electronics blasting systems.
* Develop and write, components and interfaces, as required
* Keep abreast of global developments in Internet and software technology and to provide direction with regard to software development.
* Integrate the Software Development with the business strategy, customer requirements and electronic detonator chip technology development.
* Assist the installation and commissioning of new software into client sites and to interface and satisfy clients in this process.
* Create system, test and technical specifications for new products.
* Work with existing software systems in addition to designing and implementing new systems.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent
* 6 years of experience in software and / or a systems design environment
* Detailed understanding of C, C++ and embedded software technologies
* Industrial and manufacturing background
* Software architecture experience
* Knowledge of computer networking protocols
* Familiarity with software revision control systems and code review techniques
* Knowledge of Qt application framework
* Skills in the Linux operation system
