Job Description

Accounts Receivable Specialist

General Purpose

To provide financial, clerical and administrative services to ensure efficient, timely and accurate payment of accounts.

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities

* maintain up-to-date billing system

* generate and send out monthly statements

* ensure customer portals are up to date and resolve any outstanding issues with invoices

* follow up on, collect and allocate payments

* carry out billing, collection and reporting activities according to specific deadlines

* perform account reconciliations

* monitor customer account details for non-payments, delayed payments and other irregularities

* research and resolve payment discrepancies

* generate aging analysis

* review AR aging to ensure compliance

* maintain accounts receivable customer files and records

* follow established procedures for processing receipts, cash etc.

* prepare bank deposits

* investigate and resolve customer questions

* process adjustments

* communicate with customers via phone or email

* collect data and prepare weekly and monthly reports

Education and Experience

* Associates degree in accounting.

* 2 years experience in accounts receivable

* 1-3 years accounts receivable and general accounting experience

Salary Range: $55,000-$65,000
