What You'll Do
As our Sr. Manager, Commercialization Product Innovation, you are responsible for successfully planning, managing and delivering high priority product projects from ideation/concept through to design completion, enabling seamless pre-production activities and production-ready handoffs.

You should be a dynamic, highly organized, initiative taking and resilient self-starter who is passionate and experienced in all aspects of innovative product development process and project management operations. This role requires a leader with the ability to effectively lead cross-functional teams through the product development process of strategic and tactical product innovation initiatives while prioritizing resources with cross-functional team leaders to ensure consistent alignment with business goals.

This individual should possess the ability to drive influence throughout the organization, enjoys building relationships cross functionally, exudes strategic acumen, and is dedicated to continuous improvement.

This position is remote and will report into Lovesac Corporate HUB based in Stamford, CT. Candidates must fully reside in the United States at all times during employment and should have the ability to travel as needed.

  • Lead large, multifaceted cross-functional teams through the enterprise product innovation development process from concept to production-ready hand-off including creation of the enterprise project plan, timeline and milestone deliverables, ensuring project meets or exceeds scope expectations and key stakeholder expectation.
  • Be the single source of truth. Build and manage all project documentation and accurately track developments against timeline and deliverables and ensure workstreams are operating appropriately for new product launches.
  • Execute effectively by clearly defining and aligning on the right scope, briefs, KPI's and deliverables, while mobilizing the right resources to achieve success across all product innovation teams.
  • Drive communication, visibility, accountability and resolution across functional teams to achieve optimal ways of working and produce the best results.
  • Lead and operate in multiple time horizons leveraging business insights to ensure needs of the business are met - manage product pipeline projects as well as provide insight on near term launches based on product readiness vs. launch readiness; manage short, mid and long-term projects while providing regular updates to key stakeholders.
  • Understand key stakeholder impacts end-to-end including with heightened focus on white space discovery through design & develop phase implications.
  • Provide executive leadership visibility to critical milestones, timing, resource management and key areas of risk; escalating challenges/roadblocks to Sr. Leadership appropriately.
  • Consistently build trust and foster relationships with cross-functional partners at all levels to successfully communicate and problem solve; Manage conflicts and complexity to remove barriers to ensure successful on time launches.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration and continuous improvement promoting professional growth and development. Influences process improvement strategies, system tool enhancements.
  • Perform any other reasonable duties for this role as requested by management.

Who You Are

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred in business, marketing, project management or related field with demonstrated knowledge of innovative product development and commercialization.
  • Minimum of 8 years' experience in innovation product development, preferably direct experience in a commercialization, product development or branded product marketing project management capacity.
  • Strong product acumen with working knowledge of innovative product development processes, including design, development, sourcing, and manufacturing.
  • Strong ability to inspire and build a mindset and culture of innovation within your team and beyond.
  • Superior project planning with the ability to create and manage project management tools for driving short term, medium term, and complex projects.
  • Deep understanding of product commercialization, cost engineering, & vendor relations.
  • Growth mindset and enthusiasm for learning new tools and problem-solving.
  • Excellent collaboration skills, including a proven ability to communicate with various levels of leadership and employees within the organization.
  • Understanding of trade regulations, testing protocol, product integrity requirements, product cycle timeline and basic production process.
  • Proactive approach to identifying the root cause of issues, seeking the best solutions with a value driven commitment.
  • Creates appropriate sense of urgency to ensure both short- and long-term results.
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of financial metrics and profitability analysis.
  • Exemplify each of our Lovesac values, at all times, be results driven and utilize knowledge to meet or exceed key performance indicators (KPIs), goals and deadlines.
  • Must be able to travel using various forms of transportation, as required by the Company in its sole discretion, for meetings and conferences held either at our offices or offsite (i.e. quarterly team connection weeks, companywide meetings, vendor visits).
  • Must comply with all policies and procedures outlined in the Lovesac Employee Handbook and work collaboratively with fellow employees, treating all clients, both internal and external with dignity and respect at all times.
