Reporting to the Pricing Analyst the Jr. Pricing Analyst will conduct market research and gather intelligence to determine price competitiveness of Marmon Industrial Energy and Infrastructure products. Assists senior management by providing detailed fact-based reports and recommendations for profitable strategies and organizational policies related to market prices.

Essential Duties:

  • Utilize SQL for comprehensive data analysis and modeling, to make strategic business recommendations. This includes formulating hypotheses, conducting correlation analysis, data mining, and understanding the business impact of recommendations.
  • Maintain PowerBI dashboards and reports to provide actionable insights for decision-makers across the organization. Train end users on navigating various BI reports.
  • Monitor and analyze customer engagement metrics to inform and refine pricing strategies, ensuring products and offerings are competitively priced and aligned with market demand and consumer behavior.
  • Actively contribute to the launch of new products by identifying market demands, offering critical insights into market trends, and conducting comprehensive competitor pricing analysis to shape product positioning and pricing decisions effectively.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, marketing, and product development, to ensure data-driven decision-making.
  • Prepare, maintain, and analyze pricing models on an enterprise-wide basis using market insight and up-to-date cost information.
  • Run monthly MIEI quad/quartile reports monthly for distribution.
  • Perform monthly pricing intelligence report to understand industry demand, trends, pricing of competitive products, track opportunities, and provide thesis reporting on opportunities won and lost.
  • Maintain and foster pricing policies and procedures for the organization.

These are the general duties required to fulfill the Jr. Pricing Analyst job description, not a detailed description of all the work required. Education and Experience Preferred:

  • 3+ Years of experience is required, preferably in a similar role. Utility, or wire and cable industry experience is a significant plus.

Knowledge and Skills Preferred:

  • SQL and other programming languages required for quantitative analysis.
  • Ability to design and maintain PowerBI dashboards, generating actionable insights for decision-makers.
  • Knowledge in managing databases to maintain up-to-date pricing data, ensuring readiness for analysis.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems, understanding their integration with pricing, reporting, and analytical tools.
  • Ability to occasionally travel.

Working Conditions and/or Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work long hours in a sedentary position sitting, talking, looking at a computer, charts/graphs and performing repetitive motions.
  • Ability to move objects and materials of at least 25lbs.
  • Ability to collaborate with manufacturing team members as needed in an environment that can be noisy.
  • Ability to follow safety guidelines and wear required PPE when onsite.
