The Payroll/CDP Lead will be responsible for overseeing the full cycle of US payrolls, HRIS data maintenance and reporting. The Payroll/CDP Lead will oversee that day-to-day activities of the payroll department and HRIS. The Payroll/CDP Lead will interpret any regulatory and TRUMPF policies in order to ensure proper maintenance of the payroll systems and payroll regulations. The individual will oversee data maintenance and ensure all systems are up to date and support on ad hoc reporting requests. The position will work closely with the Human Resources, Finance, Central IT and other departments. The position will also be responsible to lead and oversee any specials projects within the payroll function.

This opportunity offers a combination of work from home days and office.

Payroll Lead Responsibilities

  • Ensures the accurate completion of all day-to-day payroll processing and reporting in accordance with federal, state, and local tax laws, and corporate policies and procedures.
  • Ensures payroll tax reporting and remittance are timely and in compliance with applicable tax laws and all payroll accounts are reconciled timely and accurately.
  • Reviews exception reports and coordinates and resolves inaccurate information and processes. Evaluates and documents business procedures related to payroll processes.
  • Develops and implements payroll processes to increase the efficiency while establishing and maintaining effective internal controls and ensuring the consistent application of payroll policies Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating future legislations; enforcing adherence to requirements; filing financial reports; advising management on needed actions.
  • Assists in the training and developing the payroll team.
  • Oversee payroll and HRIS system maintenance.
  • Lead and support various projects including ad hoc reporting requests.
  • Manage relationships with external payroll provider and other relevant stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate payroll processing.
  • Understand and implement ICS (internal compliance) requirements and process ICS audit requests.

Experience & Education

Required: A minimum of 6 years experience in payroll administration industry. Must be able to work in a busy time-pressured environment and have strong knowledge of payroll administration and laws, preferably in a large, multi-state manufacturing environment. Must be extremely organized with strong attention to detail. Strong leadership and influencing skills.

Preferred: Experience with ADP Work Force Now. Advanced knowledge of MS Excel. Understanding of Power BI. Bachelors degree in Business Administration or related field strongly preferred.
