What we need...
We are currently seeking a person who loves thinking analytically to join us as an Application Analyst on our Tactical Development iBanking team. This person will be excited by the opportunity to help improve the online banking experience for over a million users. To accomplish that, the candidate will need to produce high-quality, detailed work in an Agile environment that has well-defined processes and procedures for many things, while other procedures will be created by the person in this position as solutions are defined. This individual will enjoy being challenged and having their days fly by as they deep dive into problem solving. Local candidates who can work a hybrid schedule in Southington, CT are preferred.

What you'll do...

  • Handle troubleshooting of day-to-day application and production issues.
  • Analyze product problems resulting from design flaws and propose solutions.
  • Develop and maintain application knowledge in area of design.
  • Perform complex functions to design COCC products and assists in testing, implementation, training, and support of those designs.
  • Communicate with Customer Service and Product teams to ensure proposed solutions meet client needs.
  • Handle Customer Service questions concerning regulations and/or existing industry requirements and functionality of products.
  • Create and maintain documentation for support and development items.
  • Devise product functionality based upon customer / vendor input.
  • May participate in product planning and design meetings.

What you'll bring...

  • Bachelor's degree in MIS, Computer Science or related or equivalent work experience is preferred for this role but will consider appropriate work experience and/or relevant certifications.
  • Minimum 3-4 years systems support or design experience in a banking or financial services environment.
  • Proficient in SQL (T-SQL, PL/SQL, MySQL).
  • Knowledge of specific Banking applications - Online Banking is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Relational Database Concepts.
  • Experience working in an Agile software development environment.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret banking periodicals, professional/technical journals and technical procedures.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff and management both orally and in writing.
  • Solid analytical skills and a strong attention to detail.
  • Rotational production support is required.
  • Some weeks require work over 40 hours.
