ATI is currently seeking a Facilities Manager to join our operations located in East Hartford, CT. A successful Facilities Maintenance Manager will plan, implement, and expedite general maintenance functions, construction of equipment and improvement of the facilities within the policies and procedures of the Safety and Maintenance Departments.

Essential Functions (other duties may be assigned)

  • Provide strategic leadership and guidance on all facility maintenance activities including oversight of PM and machine repair activities. Assure that all plant equipment, facilities and utilities are optimally maintained for continuous, reliable and uninterrupted operation; When necessary, directly support equipment repair activities by calling in appropriate resources and expediting needed parts.
  • Drive an operational excellence action that engrains discipline and execution within and across the Facility operations that results in low machine downtime, high operational uptime, and consistent operation of all facility systems.
  • Drive a world class safety commitment/culture.
  • Analyze work requests and activities of present and previous shifts, in conjunction with other Supervisors and/or Managers, in order to set priorities and complete work requests and activities in an expedient manner.
  • Establish priorities and utilize manpower to compliment the production schedules of the Manufacturing Departments. Measure the effectiveness and take corrective action, where necessary, to improve performance. Provide necessary support to ensure continued compliance to ISO 9001/AS9100
  • Develop and maintain an effective maintenance organization through training, development, appraisal, and motivation, for all assigned employees, consistent with ATI - East Hartford Operations policies
  • Monitor operating standards and practices for conformance to established guidelines and policies of ATI - East Hartford Operations and highest level of safe working conditions for all employees, through active management involvement and support for the ATI - East Hartford Operations Safety Program, Preventive Maintenance and efficient general housekeeping; this is accomplished through scheduled safety meetings and inspections with periodic job safety analysis, job training, and job observations
  • Authority to perform all tasks/activities responsible for

Basic Requirements

  • High school diploma or G.E.D.
  • Minimum of 7 years of Facilities, Maintenance, or Operations experience.

Preferred

  • BS degree in Manufacturing, Construction, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or closely associated discipline
