As a Senior Buyer, you'll procure goods and services cost-effectively and timely. You'll develop relationships, negotiate contracts, and work closely with suppliers to maintain inventory levels. You'll maintain a lean inventory, implement cost-saving strategies, and ensure planning data integrity.
Responsibilities:
- Managing key supplier relationships to ensure on-time delivery of goods and services.
- Leading initiatives to reduce expenses and developing annual plans for continuous cost reduction improvements with suppliers.
- Developing, maintaining and strengthening supplier relationships through effective contract negotiation, ensuring timely delivery and quality.
- Ensuring that planning parameters within the procurement software system support lean inventory requirements.
- Mentoring less experienced buyers to ensure they are meeting performance expectations and developing their skills.
- Possess in-depth knowledge of purchasing, procurement, supplier management supply chain management and strategic procurement implementation.
- Be able to demonstrate effective negotiation skills and experience collaborating with suppliers.
- Be proficient in Microsoft Excel and procurement software tools.
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders.
- Be detail-oriented and able to manage multiple projects and adapt to changing business needs and priorities.
Compensation and Benefits
- The base pay for this position ranges from $67,320 to $100,980 per year depending on the geographic market.
- This position may provide an annual bonus based on performance.
