Ice Crew will be a member of a professional, high-energy ice maintenance and interactive team. Team members will be out-going, athletic, experienced skaters who are interested in ice maintenance and extremely comfortable in a high-energy hockey environment.

This position is based at our XL Center. The XL Center is Connecticut’s premier destination for sports & entertainment. The 16,000+ seat downtown arena is home to the eleven-time National Champion UConn Women's Basketball team and the four-time National Champion UConn Men's Basketball team. Led by Hall of Fame basketball Head Coach Geno Auriemma and Dan Hurley, the Men's & Women's basketball programs have established themselves as national powerhouses. The XL Center is also home to the AHL’s Hartford Wolf Pack, the primary developmental affiliate of the New York Rangers. The team is coached by Keith McCambridge. • Arrives for work on time for each scheduled shift, in uniform and ready to work
• Must be able to work flexible hours, weekends and holidays
• Must be able to take both verbal and written direction
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. on a frequent basis
• Ability to stand on feet for up to 8 hours at a time, kneel, stoop, climb stair, skate, and reach/lift above head in conjunction with ice maintenance tasks
• Ability to skate and remove to remove snow during media timeouts
• Works safely, quickly and efficiently to meet all deadlines
• Maintains a positive, outgoing demeanor
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• All other tasks assigned by Supervisor

• Experience working in an ice rink setting preferred
• Comfortable in front of large crowds
• Proficient ice-skating
