Job Description

Individual filling the position is responsible for eliciting new data integration and system integration requirements for our regulatory systems and taking those requirements through the software development lifecycle in partnership with BT and IM Central Services.

Information Manager will be expected to support reporting needs of IM stakeholders and proactively develop solutions to data challenges.

Individual filling the position is responsible for developing and maintaining a set of core data standards to be used across the regulatory solutions portfolio in partnership with IM Central Services and partner business lines.

  • Support integration of regulatory solutions into business processes
  • Provide data analysis support ongoing to key stakeholders for regulatory data
  • Liaise with business stakeholders and technical groups to define or gather data integration requirements, automation, or reporting requirements and execution strategy
  • Participate in and lead quality oriented projects intended to ensure high quality data in our regulatory tracking systems
  • Provide solutions to customer data issues and develop or contribute to written materials that communicate solutions and/or options to relevant stakeholders
  • Support continuous improvement projects to simplify and improve system use and system management, including opportunities for data automation and system integrations
  • Develop and execute ad hoc or standard queries to extract data from supported systems and follow established procedures to validate queries/results in support of business requirements
  • Define data standards and quality measures in partnership with supporting business lines
  • Gather metrics and generate standard reports regarding usage or support of IM systems
  • Develop monitoring reports to ensure proper system usage and data standards alignment
  • Participate in development of solution test strategies and author/execute user acceptance test scripts to support systems integration, data automation or report development

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in life sciences, information management, library science, information technology, computer science, business administration or related discipline required, master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years in the pharmaceutical industry, including an understanding of the drug development process
  • Demonstrated, in depth knowledge of Pharmaceutical drug development environment and regulations.
  • Demonstrated customer relationship skills and capabilities and collaboration on teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform in a cross-functional environment.
  • Strong verbal, written communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to interact in a professional manner and build strong collaborative relationships with internal Pfizer teams.
  • Ability to interface with international colleagues, understand the "big picture" in terms of potential implications of changes to systems and processes to sites and/or affiliates outside of home country/region
  • Strong demonstrated project management and organizational skills
  • Experience with systems management and maintenance including document management systems, databases, business process management and electronic workflow/routing tools, regulatory submission and tracking systems
  • Knowledge of application system management and change control processes, application validation and implementation in a GxP environment
  • Knowledge of Pharmaceutical metadata and standards
  • Experience with data analysis techniques and technologies (e.g., SQL, PL/SQL, Brio, MS_Access)
